To celebrate its 40th anniversary Quebec-based Les Violons du Roy, one of the world’s most celebrated chamber orchestras, welcome legendary Canadian singers, Baroque experts, soprano Karina Gauvin and contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux! Led by music director Jonathan Cohen, the orchestra performs an all-Handel extravaganza made up of overtures, sinfonias, arias, and duets from no fewer than six of the Baroque master’s finest English-language oratorios.
