Duo Lortie-Mercier
plays Debussy,
Ravel & Arensky

Louis Lortie |  Piano

Hélène Mercier  | Piano

Long-time friends and musical collaborators, Canadian pianists Hélène Mercier and Louis Lortie present an uplifting program of music for two pianos featuring Arensky’s refined Suite no.1 and Debussy’s La Mer, shaped by a “splendid matching sound” (Le Devoir).

As an encore, Mercier and Lortie perform Feria from Ravel’s exquisite Rapsodie Espagnole, creating “a vivid atmosphere with rhythmic acuity and subtle coloring.” (The Washington Post).

A performance marked by French-perfumed elegance and sheer charm.
