Benoît Guérin is a film director for Prodcan’s multi-camera recordings. He has produced multi-camera recordings with, among others, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), the Orchestre Métropolitain (OM), the Violons du Roy, the National Arts Center Orchestra (OCNA), the Orchestreee symphonique de Québec (OSQ), the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal, the AGORA Orchestra, the Montreal International Music Competition (CMIM) and the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde (TNM).

Among his most recent achievements, we find: the Prix Opus, gala for concert music in Quebec (2021 and 2022); the opening concert of the OSM’s 2022-23 season “Mahler’s 2nd Symphony”; the complete Beethoven symphonies by OM (2020); and the closing concert of the Festival de Lanaudière “Epic Wagner” by OM (2022).

He also works at Société Radio-Canada as a studio cameraman and was a freelance producer for the communications department. As a cameraman, he participates in many recordings of music, symphony, variety shows, public affairs & sports. As a director, he has produced several video documents for the CBC’s social media.

Additionally, he has a background in lyrical singing from Laval University in Quebec, and was awarded a Mention of Excellence as a multicamera director during the Prix Opus 2020-21 for the recording of the concert “Couleurs d’ici: from Boudreau to Sibelius” by the Orchester Métropolitain, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
